MONSTRADORES is an incredible new spin-off from the world of MONSTER MATADOR featuring a group of Kaiju fighting Luchadores! Think Luchadores meets Godzilla meets Indiana Jones.
This one-shot is going to set the stage for stories to come as they go up against the kaiju GOLIAS in Brazil and end up uncovering clues as to the true origins of the Kaiju that have plagued the Monster Matador universe.
If you're new to the Monster Matador Universe, here's the skinny:
WHO?
The Monstradores! Kaiju fighting Luchadores led by Dr. Destructor (he's really a doctor!). Roll Call: Diablo Loco! Turbo Gigante! Lobo Azul! And everyone's favorite, Señorita Sangre!
WHAT?
Born from out love of Indiana Jones, Kaiju and Santo and... telenovelas?! The Monstradores is luchadore fighting action like you've never experience before. It's an action-packed mash-up of all those things, with more than a few laughs to spare.
HOW?
Yes, how?! How exactly do these Luchadores fight giant-sized-Kaiju monsters? Why with their fists, killer moves, and whatever it takes!
WHY?
The Monstradores joined forces with the Monster Matador to defeat the Megaracha in Mexico City. Soon after, the Matador sent the Monstradores on a mission to recruit an army in order to fight Nacho Lobo and his army of baddies and KAIJU! Of course, nothing is ever easy. Now we join the Monstradores as their mission is interruped by EL GOLIAS!

Hey all,
I just wanted to thank you very sincerely for all the love this past month. There is such an active and enthusiastic fanbase here on Kickstarter... you guys have made this a uniquely great time... I've said it before and I'll say it again here... this is so much more fun than is putting books in comic shops.
I'm going to take a short respite for the weekend, but I'll be back early next week with more news... and I'll start contacting folks then for commission and draw-me-in references. The backerkit surveys will be headed your way in about two weeks. I'll try to have some fun stuff available for you all there.
The first round of payment processing went through last night and we do have some errored transactions, so make sure your payment info is current with kickstarter.

I've mentioned here before that I host a business-of-comics podcast with my good friend/ELVRIA writer David Avallone. It's called THE WRITERS BLOCK. It's pretty often a top 35 visual arts pod on ApplePods and we won a Telly.
This week we had writer Felipe Cagno on to talk about the evolution of his Kickstarter mega hit THE FEW AND THE CURSED and his all-too-familiar transition from film to comics. Imagine a world where the apocalypse happened back in 1840 and opened up the doors to all sorts of monsters, curses and demons. One day the world just dried up and whatever little water that was left, being now the most precious resource on the planet, started to be used as currency.
Decades have gone by and mankind barely lingered on. There's good water to be made hunting down the wicked and Curse Chasers are always eager to help those in need (for the right flask of water of course). The Redhead is a hardened survivor and a Curse Chaser in this alternate Old West reality.
You could say it's a nice mix of Buffy the Vampire Slayer meets the Old Westwith a pinch of The Witcher for good measure.
The Few and Cursed is a fast-developing comic book universe that started ten years ago with the Redhead and then went on to publish over a dozen books from our first season (The Crows of Mana'Olana) to spin-offs to new titles.

Tales of the Bizarre is a comic book anthology series of sci-fi and horror stories with strange twists to them. They are tales much like you might find in classic B-movies, or even on episodes of series like The Twilight Zone or The Outer Limits. The original issues stick with a general PG-13 rating, but we knew that we had much more intense stories we wanted to tell, thus, we are now bringing you the spin-off series Dark Embraces. It is the same concept but with much darker storytelling, and with an erotic twist.
